Franck Tallon in Bordeaux

In the grounds of the Beaux Arts in Bordeaux, I discovered an installation by this artist whose work had been commissioned by the museum. Several of its paintings had been reproduced onto notched canvas sheets, each one being suspended in sequence to create a theatrical passage that the spectator could pass through. Untethered, each faux canvas fluttered in the breeze, its image being momentarily deformed as if a silent discussion was being exchanged between the neighbouring portraits…
